I've been getting a number of emails asking me what to do in regarding to targeting an area of the body to reduce fat. For example, just recently I got an email that states, what would be the best exercise or strategy for losing weight of my thighs? I can lose weight but the fat of my thighs always seems to stay. Please note, I'll be responding to this email on this video as it is common in subject matter to the number of other emails I have received. But the process can be done in other areas of the body as well.
During this video, there is going to be much I am going to be leaving out due to time restraints, but the facts will be there as I see it and I'll attempt to do it without all of the medical jargon. I could talk about this subject for about an hour, I will try to make this as easy as possible. Don't let this concern you because what you are about to do is very simple. I would like to get some background in so you understand specifically what is going on and what needs to be done.
One, the number of fat cells in our bodies for the most part do not change in quantity throughout most of our life, so it's the size of the cell we have to turn our attention to.
Two, generally speaking the constitution of a fat cell is oil.
Three, heat burns oil.
Four, muscle generates heat just by being there.
Five, our bodies get used to doing most processes rather quickly. The quickest way to direct the body toward change is through progression. Progression should be presented in such a way that our bodies do not or cannot get used to it.
Six, and finally, when we lose weight, we become hungrier. This sensation will last for roughly about five days on or off with most people and some a little longer with others. So after about five days, we still will be losing weight but just not feel the hunger sensation.
During this period, be sure not to eat or should say, be sure to eat your regular amount of food without increasing to compensate for the hunger sensation. A suggestion would be to increase your water and protein ratio of your consuming quantity in regards to your general intake. So putting in another way, of the amount of food that you are eating, replace some of it with protein. Your water is the exception. Your water intake should increase.
If you get a chance, watch the video on the dehydration signs located on my YouTube channel.
Okay, now with all that out of way. So we have to develop a progression that will heat up the body, in this case, the thigh, that your body can't get used to and not eating more in quantity of food that we normally would.
First, select your favorite activity that moves your thighs and perform it with a slow, medium, fast method. Please note, when it comes to the body, the more you do the more you have to do. As far as health purposes are concerned less is more. Choose an amount of time say 20 minutes.
For example, if you like to ride a bike, your approach would be progression. One, initially start out riding the bike leisurely, this is slow. After the blood gets to your legs and other areas of your body start to pedal faster, this is medium. Continue to do this until you have a slight difficulty talking.
Then do approximately five sprint pedals, this is fast, then go back to the slow and stay at that level until you completely recover and do again and again and again for the 20-minute period.
Please, select an amount of time that is convenient for your lifestyle. There is no need to add to this time. Some final notes, this is not only a good way to accomplish your goal, it's also a wonderful way to stay healthy. The reason why, there is no need to increase your time because on days that you feel stronger, you may do more medium and fast, and on days that you feel weaker, you may do more slow to medium. This allows you to work with your body rather than against it. And lastly, the slower your approach to fitness, the quicker you progress. This is a little unknown fact, but it is a fact.
I have used this biking simply as an example but use whatever favorite activity that you choose. A recommendation would be if you could, perform this activity outside or in the outdoors. There are many other benefits by doing this.
By the way, don't use a weight device during this period because it's not going to show you actually what's going on, essentially, you are going to be building muscle. Muscle is heavier than fat, as a matter of fact, fat is one-sixth the weight of muscle, so it may look like that you are not losing weight but in fact, you are gaining muscle. And inches will be disappearing from your thighs.
Although there is much I haven't explained in this video due to the time restraints, the facts are in there. Just so you know, one of the degrees I have is in Personal Training. This process I have just explained is something that I have done many, many times.
People just so you know that at a future date I will be coming out with a DVD that specifically deals with weight-loss in a manner that is quite ancient but not commonly known in our society today. It will not involve dieting, I do not believe in diets. So it does not involve you changing what you eat. It works well with our body rather than against it and it takes advantage of your body's natural rhythm. It does not involve exercise and it's been around for about 3000 years.
The most intriguing thing to me is that weight-loss is just a side-effect. The real reason why someone would do this is to stay healthy. It's easy to do and as I mentioned before it works with your body, your body's rhythm, thus not aiding to the daily stress we already put on our bodies.
This program would adjust your body to what it should be and it will do it naturally. The DVD is going to be inexpensive, money is not my God, this is not why I perform these services. So just so you know this DVD is in production and has been for quite some time, check the website www.healingartsofsantafe.com from time-to-time and when it's ready, it will be posted there, or you could send me an email and as it's ready, I'll email you, letting you know when it's ready. I hope this helps you on your journey. Thank you!
