We’re in the handy tool. I use quite a one of—well, since I work at a school district and I have to remote the computer’s, usually I try to remote them using Microsoft’s RDP. But the problem with that is when I remote into a computer it will 0020to current user that sitting physically at the computer and it will off the screen basically and they can’t see what I’m doing. Sometimes I want to use—I want to be able to just log right into the or remote into the cancel session. Basically so they can see me working on the computer or I can see what they’re doing that way I can help them show them what’s going on.
One free tool I use—I use a couple of tools at work. But one I’ve used quite a bit is called Gencontrol. Let’s see here, I just put it up on the top because I use it quite often but click on it, it’s real lightweight, real small, you don’t have to have, it’s basically—I think it’s based of a tight DNC but the cool thing about it is you don’t have to physically install something on that remote computer such as the server portion. You just run it here on your computer’s unless the computers that I’ve recently got into and here’s Tyler’s PC, it’s on, I’m going to go ahead and remote right into it and see what’s on his screen, I just double clicked it and there it goes. This is Tyler’s computer. Let’s just press up—on this computer. And right now if you will sit in this computer you will be able to see the mouse moving and what not.
So that’s kind of cool because then you can help people out and you know try to assist them when they need it. But I close it out and close that out. Another one is I don’t have set up here, I do have a set up at work, it’s the default one that you can use with a support section. There’s kind of a trick to do and it though we got into the code and it’s just amazed him up but I think and the cool thing about it is you could send like a request to the end 1user’s saying hey, someone still wants to remote in your computer and then you could do a little chat session what not and it’s pretty nice. So in a corporate environment it works quite well. There’s some other ones that I think I’ve talked about the past called team viewer that one I used when I’m trying to help someone over the internet but if it’s local network I’ll first try to already peek into it unless I have to show them what I’m doing or see what they’re doing and in that case how you take control.
