How to Remove Vista Parental Controls Hey, welcome and today I’m going to be showing you guys how to bypass parental controls on Vista. I’m going to be showing you several methods. The first being, may be the most drastic but the most effective and it can work my way towards more discreet methods of doing this. Okay, so I have my machine off and the reason why I’m not using my screen captures because I obviously can't write if the machine is off. So I’m going to hit boot, it’s going to do its thing then I’m going to hit F2. Wait, it’s booting up. Now you’ll see a little thing here, it wants to enter the Setup. So I mean when it’s doing the thing and loading just tap F2, I guess. And then it’s doing its thing, doing its thing and really I mean, I’d suggest only this method. If you really hated your parents or something I don’t know because honestly there's no going back on this one. So, I’m in the Setup and you can see there's file directory tree over here on several components but one of the most interesting is obviously the security aspect of it right and press enter to view or change the fields. There’s Admin Password, System Password, Internal Hard Drive Password and all kinds of interesting things. So I’m going to hit Security and over here I’m going to go down to Admin Password and hit “Enter” and it will say “Enter the new password” and that’s a really great tool system. Putting down my camera and type my password. So I typed it and I'm going to hit Enter and I’m going to type it again and it’s set. If you really want it to get drastic, I guess you could do all kinds of things. I don’t suggest setting a System Password, it’s not set. So you can exit the Setup. Hit right, you can control that entire thing by view of the four keys and Enter. Start Windows normally and you’ll see we have full access to the account, it’s that easy. So that one’s method number one And I forgot another thing that many children often or teenagers often experience is time control on your machine. If you think about it, your computer or parents have set certain times when you can and can not be logged on but if you were to able to change those times or the system, time, the date on the machine itself, the internal clock, then you could access it whenever you want it. So same process, you hit F2 and you go through all these information until you find the time and date. I mean really see you notice it says, so hit Enter, “Setup is Locked!” You have to go to Security Unlock Setup, so in the Security, let’s see here. I mean but if you’ve already changed the password, you could just log in and changed it manually. Unlock setup and you could type in the password which you just changed and I’m going to do so, unlocked. It’s kind of easy, then go to what date and time then change it and log in. But I mean if you’ve already changed the password you might as well just log in to your parent’s account which I don’t know if I suggest you doing. I would never have done that, so anyways, there's another method of getting around parental controls. Now I’m going to shoot it to the computer. Well, this next method aside from those other two drastic methods is a little bit less drastic but may be just as obvious. This is the Administrator’s account and let’s say your parents get up and leave, your brother’s being annoying, you could even make a distraction you know, kind of James Bond it, where you make him get up for few minutes. And then, on their computer you hit Start, cmd, right click, get down to Run, as Administrator, hit Continue and if you pretty do this on your account which had the parental controls, it ask for a password at that point so that’s why you need to wait until they leave to do this, then you type “net user administrator /active:yes” Okay, now we’re going to want to go to the Start and on the side is to find the Control Panel. User’s account’s and Safety so let me click there. User accounts, manage another account, hit continue and you’ll see this pretty standard and it will say Administrator and you’ll click over on that, it’s being so slow. Create a password and you’re in and then you just created an administrator account just for you and this one actually has more control than your parents’ would. So I’m actually going to delete it because I don’t want another account and you can do that by doing the same process. Okay, you just change Yes to No and that is the third way that you can break the parental controls. Now, I think I might be running a long time, I have no idea but I think that’s all I’m going to do for the day. I’ll make another video with more ways concerning proxies but I mean if you just think about how the computer works, you should be able to get past Administrator of Controls pretty quickly. Booting in safe mode will allow or change certain rules, booting with command prompt will also change things a little bit. I’ll cover those in future tutorials but I guess I’m kind of lazy, this is just as much as I want to do today. But anyways, good luck.
