2001-2006 E46 M3 Ignition Coil Cover Removal

The project we are going to do today is to remove the plastic coil cover off of this E46 M3.
The first part of the project is remove the center section of the factory strut brace. Then what you will do is remove these three twist locks right here, take the cover off and remove the cabin air filter.
Before you remove the housing, what you will want to do is remove this plastic cover right here, that is the holder for the positive cable that goes from left to right side of the vehicle. Leave the cable, just lay on top of the car.
At the bottom of the cabin air filter housing, there are four T30 torque screws that you will have to remove. Now you can pull the entire cabin air filter housing forward, out of the vehicle. Once you have pulled it out, you will have access to the back of the plastic protective cover. You will take these six Acorn nuts off. They go all the way around the cover. Then what you will do is take the breather tube off. You will take the oil cap off, and then the cover will remove.
