In this tutorial I will show you how you can render your YouTube videos in HD quality High Definition using Windows Movie Maker. So let’s get started. This is video is requested by dkt3wings and yes I zoomed in a lot using Firefox, I’ll zoom that out later and you can—if you don’t have it already on your system that I believed it comes with Windows, I’m not sure though so there’s a Window XP version and a Window Vista version. Personally, I don’t use it, it’s a little too simple and it’s very easy to use and a very simple but it doesn’t have that make features but very good for beginners and this editor really did not like it. But its okay, it’s not super, super bad but its not definitely not too bad. We’re talking about file that’s probably not exact so I’ll click download now and run the installer and same thing with the Vista version and this was actually a much smaller file surprisingly Vista.
So after you run the installer, you just want to open it up. You can import which basically mean is you can get files after you made the video on your digital camera or from any folder that you have. So you can just click the video there something on that. Go to videos or if it’s on a desktop with you can just drag it from there. You can also click and drag. Let’s see a file and now they’re open window, say pictures in this. Sort of click and drag it in there and make me that in your video. I already have this test here, I’m just going to remove this from the clipping and you can have their clip at storybooks for or I can just drag it in. I believed there’s also a timeline so just want to be worth it. The story works fine for this and basically after you’re done your editing stuff but its not much editing you can do I guess, you can transitions, you can add some effects in all that. Importing—basically though, so I’m going to tools, options, and then it’s by defaults on your general tab, just want to go up to the tab bar and just click advance and then you want to depending on your region. If you’re watching this video in North America or South America and make sure that NTSC is selected but if this is also better for YouTube or if you’re in United Kingdom or somewhere else like Asia or Australia or something like that then you can click PAL, I believed and by default it should look like this 4.3 aspect ratio which is just a point three like 6.14 x 4.80 but by 16x 9 it’s a wide screen and this is an HD and for a new more help you can jut click 0340 so I just want to click OK.
After that you can auto click this Publish movie upon up here or you can click publish on the publish to this computer or any other source site you have. So I’m just going to click this computer, name it. You can save it to wherever, wherever for this particular video though, I’m just going to choose my desktop you can browse, click Next. You want to go down to more settings by default right there and .just click Windows Media HD 720p. I think YouTube also renders it in 180p but this is better, it’s just a smaller file and its still really good quality. And it also has Estimated space required where is its usually like the only feature that I like and I also like the interface on Windows Movie Maker and its actually calculate how big it is.
So just want to click Publish and they will just run through all be that you got the seconds remaining and the percentage, the Movie file name and Destination, very simple and basic and yeah and over and while editing you can also preview your videos so its not that big deal. So we’re just going to wait till this is completely publishes or processes and then you can now play the movie, I don’t think so. Finish, minimize this as you in Desktop with your background so I’m just going to drag to the middle. You can check on like the file size and all that right clicking, clicking properties. Of course you can test it and it should be loading. I’m not sure why my computer 0550 but basically its recommended that you’ve recorded if your using digital camera or a screen recording that you actually film recorded in a 16x9 resolution which is by all 1280x720, 1980 by—I don’t know, I think its like 1280 or something like that I don’t know. Miscalculate 16x9 and recorded like that. It’s recommended and it does, it can stretch it out and stuff but its just better quality if you do that.
So that was it and it converts into a WMV format. So that you can upload that YouTube, is not Windows Movie Maker of course it’s not the best thing but it’s a free alternative to Camtasia and Sony Vegas although we do have like three-day trial on those.
