after 10 years?? that's ridiculous! The Federal government does not care about the people. They want to keep America in debt. It's a catch 22. I can't afford college but I need a piece of paper in order to get a well paying job BUT due to the bad economy, I can't find a job after receiving my B.A. and now I am going to graduate school to become even more in debt in hopes to be better qualified in my field. Basically, there is no way out. I only received $3,000 in work study, $2,000 in grants, and $1,000 in scholarships. Peace Corps and AmeriCorps only gives $4,800 after serving one year. I still have to take out $20,000 in loans for my first year of graduate school. I am already $20,000 in debt from my undergraduate education. Most people do not get paid $85,000 straight out of university so I don't see anyway out of this situation. I have chosen not to have any children because it is just too expensive! I am 24 years old.
