Yea.. thanks meth boy. We all really appeciate you going through the motions and treating people that are looking for help like crap. you do this every day. Obviously you are a bike mechanich because you could have never obtained a job as a teacher or public speaker!

How to Replace the Pads of an Avid Caliper Brake

Taking them out, you take them out one at a time, push it toward the end, inside, take it out. You have to have that spring out, then you push the spring out that way. Install the pads, you have to push the pads back in with -- I am using a nine millimeter box and then just putting it around the pad, and push them back in. They retract like the hays with the square seals, so they don't pull all the way back unless encouraged. You put the pads together with the butterfly spring, like this. The spring has to be oriented so that that thing is between those tabs, and then wind that up, slide them into place. You have to put them in together as a unit like that. Finally, they will clip over; this is magnetics, so they will go in. Looks like that from the top. Okay, that's Avid.
