Hi I’m Jay Stewart, I’m from Auntie Anne’s. I'm here today to show you how to make soft pretzels at home.
In this segment, I’m going to show you how to roll the dough. Where we are right now, now that our dough is fully risen as you can see, it’s about double the size which takes about 45 minutes to an hour to get a nice light, fluffy dough. What I did is lightly sprayed my counter with the nonstick spray and put the dough on top of that and be careful, do not spray the area where you’re going to roll you pretzels, if you do that, you’re going to have a little bit of problem and just be it off before you continue.
So, what I’m going to do now is I’m going to cut my dough strip and at home, you’ll cut it about one and a half inches wide, seven, eight inches long and using a pizza cutter which most homes have one, if you don’t have one, please go and get one. And then, we’re going to cut our dough and start inward and start rolling out and kind of lightly stretching it as you roll until you get the dough just about an arms length there about unless you got a really long arms, then you’re going to have really long pretzels.
Now, that we’ve rolled our dough in the next segment, I’m going to show you how we twist.
