How to Roll a Hoop Backwards

Now, let's move to the same exercise as the last, but even more challenging as this time the hoops must be rolled backwards with a reverse flick of the wrist. A hoop will roll backwards. In this exercise, have an individual child spin the hoop backwards and then begin running backwards alongside the rolling hoop to keep up with it. To make it more goal oriented, see how far they can go by measuring the distance the hoop and the child both move backwards. And again, another group option is to divide the children into smaller teams for a relay race where the runner must roll their own hoop backwards and also run backwards alongside to a certain finish line. After crossing that line, have them sprint back forwards and pass the hoop to the next team member to again roll and run.
