Welcome to thedigitallifestyle.com video show and take –have a quick look at running the window sideshow gadgets for windows media center on a windows mobile phone. I have already installed a kit and you’ll find open a link and shout outs for all the links you need. Where basically you need the release version of the windows media center site your gadgets that you install on your media center machine. And then you need a sideshow to compatible device that can be remote control or use a original for free view to, you can actually run this on the windows sideshows devices and gadgets on this windows mobile phone.
So I am using my HP windows mobile 6.1 probably works for five and six and 6.1 as well. So I installed the software, you paired the machine’s up as you would any Bluetooth. That I am going to be using the HP touch smart, which has got Bluetooth on it, you can’t do it over WI-FI or IP. It only works on the Bluetooth at the moment, but I got these paired up and then I got the sideshow gadgets. So if I am going to into windows and I got some sideshow gadgets and let me show you those. So you can see I have enabled the music now playing pictures and video TV. I have also got windows media player and the inbox, windows that I like to be using that one will be just be the windows player media in a bit.
So I got the gadgets installed and you can downloads those from the link in the shout outs. So let’s have a look how they look on the windows mobile phone. There paired up now, so this is the inter phase it is quite nice that you rely on that and now I we’ve got to now playing, you can see that I am listening to one track. And I am recording one show, so let’s have a look at the different features we’ve got.
First we’ll start up with TV so were going to TV, and you got to options guide or recorded TV. So let’s look at the guide, so here now are the shows the through the guide and I can flip those, now the red one the red line there, shows that and recorded the gadget show. If I want to watch one of these channels let go to say Panorama, I got the guide day to there, I go to the menu and I got the options of recording that. You couldn’t see me stopping the call in and I can watch it, so now we got to watch now the media center machine is just off camera behind it. Where you can hear continued so that is the TV.
So let’s show both the transport control, if I go to home, we now go to now playing. And you can see I am watching Panorama and it shows play back controls and it can stop that. So let’s stop that going now-so that’s how you can control media center. You see you got the volume and you got the other options on there. So that’s the now playing function, so if we go back to TV and I will go to recorded TV. You see the shows that I recorded so lets select Top Gear, brings down the thumbnail which is quite nice. You can see there is from the guide and the options, I’ve got a play and if I select play on there.
So that’s playing on my TV, I go home, now looks now play you see I am watching Top Gear. I can stop that, one thing I notice here if I hit OK it closes, it minimize the program you got to home on there. Okay so that’s now playing and TV, I go to music I am going to my music library, albums and browse my albums, there you see it downloaded the album up for auto cab. And in my option is I can add up to the queue or I can play it send it up that to the queue. Try a different track now you see we get it download the album mark, hit play.
Okay in my backroom its called media center is restarting and it look out of problems and restarted the media center, where there’s media go. It’s now playing so look at pictures so I can browse my folder by date. So let’s browse by folder, pictures and we will just find it a suitable one there we go. So some testing so I can see the images there so I can- I okay on that image, that’s actually put displaying that image on media center machine and in back to the room. And I can play a selection which is kicked off the slideshow on the machine.
And let’s have a quick look at videos and guess we got the same thing, ;-this videos there’s an example video that I was trying before an I can play that one and there it go. That’s working, so anything that I found out- if we go back to the transport control and stop that. Even if there is actually of a way of interacting the transport controls, I can go home now. So that’s a quick look at sideshow running on windows mobile and windows media center and it send me awhile to get this working up to the few resets in media center and I just saw doing the video. And we recently restart itself as well but it is base beyond or even the preview in windows mobile.
The actual gadgets themselves are released gadgets; it would be nice if there is a remote that can do this port. You got a windows mobile phone and it is working on Bluetooth and looks in a nice way of browsing through the net data and everything else without having to go to the media center machine which means that your wife can watch a program while you are playing and scheduling recorded TV.
