Mac Caldwell here with Caldwell Enterprises, what is SEO? With this quick video presentation is designed to answer just that question and help you understand a little bit of the basic elements of the SEO.
Wikipedia says that SEO is the process of improving the volume and quality of traffic tool or web site from search engines by at natural search results while Wikipedia says that it is the process of increasing the amount of visitors’ tool web site by ranking high in the search result of a search engine. We claim that SEO is a little bit different in that internet marketing and SEO were merging into a frame as the same thing so this implies that SEO is about giving top search engine position naturally but it goes a little bit further to include branding and marketing at your site.
To keep top results you have to garner back links from around the internet anyhow but that’s an internet marketing technique so it becomes the same. But in the end of the day, it really doesn’t matter what you’re going to call it. You really want in more visitors. You want more people to recognize your brand and you want your customers to be promoting you on your behalf so that’s you business need SEO. Well, yes, yes, yes, and yes but I’ll say that only if you want to stay in business. Web sites used to be optional. There are no longer optional, they are requirement of your business and they have to be marketed just like you’ve reached your breaking boarder store.
You know, a lot of people think that once they have their web site up, it’s set and done and then they don’t need to do anything more with it. Well, that’s not true. Putting it up is a lot like your list. You put it up there but if you don’t market it and promote it, nobody’s going to find it so you really do need a small or in some cases a larger marketing budget. I mean but you do definitely need a separate marketing budget to be marketing your on line presence. Build it and they will come, no, they won’t. Not if you don’t give them directions. It’s a very famous myth from the movie field of dreams but it highlights exactly what the web site is all about just because it’s there. It does not mean that people would going to find it your only options truly or to harness to your consultant to do it yourself or grab a business.
So if you’re ready to go, do it yourself what would you be trying to do. Well, there are two types of techniques you focus on, on page and off page. And your on page are the ones that you have the most control over and those are your HTML and coding type things like your med attacks, your heading tax. There’s a robot’s text file. There’s no follow text in your anchors just title text. There’s all text. There’s also the content in layout which is how you write it and what you write. Make them sure that your human visitors are understanding it and find it valuable. It’s really great that you want to write things for the search engines but the truth is that search engines don’t have money. They don’t buy your stuff but human visitors do so that’s ultimately who needs, who your content needs to be written for.
The other half for the off page techniques so your back links who’s writing about you and who’s linking to you. Search engines really like that. If you are writing staff to this so valuable, that other people are linking to it saying hey you got to check this guy out. That means that the search are going to find you valuable but it also means that your human visitors you’re going to find your valuable when thy land on your page so they’re more like way to buy your stuff from you.
Article exchanges, link exchanges, social networking such as face book and twitter. These are communities that you can actually build relationships with people where they are receptive to the idea of that you’re promoting yourself by helping them and there’s definitely right ways and wrong ways of using social networking sites but it’s definitely something that you need to be using. I do not recommend using too many of them because it’s hard to focus on too many communities all at ones. Some people would say they only uses one or two, other people say they use ten or 12. You know, you have to find what’s right or you. For me personally, I only use a couple of them because I like to be really regular and focus my efforts on that.
Press relations are a great way to get news where the Adams out about your site because we do lenses and have pages or high page rank authoritative sites that if you are creating content to mere linking back to your site. Not only that you are creating valid content on this other locations but you’re also creating a high page rank link back to your site, which is helping boost your page rankings. Social book marking sites like dig and stumble and technocracy, these are great places where you can bookmark all your favorite places. There are also authoritative and high paged rank so when you book mark your own site that links to your articles. You gain search engine recognition as well as when people land on your site from the social book marking size. They find it valuable from that as well so you’re finding other places to be found.
Paid advertising and paper click is not traditional SEO but as I mention in our definition that SEO and internet marketing are merging so pay the advertising’s definitely part of this plan of gaining traffic to you site and then gaining brand recognition. Video blogging and broadcasting are great ways to blog anymore and allow people to hear content. Blogging is not just written articles people don’t like reading all the time. They like to listen to things, take it in the car with them, they like watching movies and watch news cast and things like that definitely worth in a grading into your site.
Link paid is a term that you use to attract people to your site through give always, contests, anything that is off but honest to goodness value maybe a word press plug in a piece of software. A screen saver and something of that nature that you can promote out there and al this other places to attract people to your site.
