How to SSH an iPhone on a Mac
Hey, this is the iPhone 3G geek here showing you how to do something called open SSH or SSH to your computer. First you’re going to need to download from the Cydia. You’re going to need to have jail broken phone, a Mac which is what I'm using. You can use a wino CP. It’s about the same thing for Windows and you’re going to need to jail broken phone. You need to go into Cydia and you're going to need to download a thing called open SSH which should be I am going to do it.
So first you’re going to change this to SFTP SSH kind of a thing. Make sure this is root and the password is Alpine and the server is going to be your IP address. So make sure you are connected to a wireless internet service. So to find your IP address you’re going to go into settings complete thing. You are going to go to Wi-Fi. And once you’re going to Wi-Fi, if you can see we’re just going to work that clear up right there. You can't read it’s backward but there can be error next to the check one and make sure you click that arrow.
So after you click that arrow there should be a point where it says IP address, a few can read it but right there it says IP address and you are just going to type. So now that you have typed that in so it should come up with the root at whatever your thing is and make sure it’s port 22. This tap should not be change at all.
Root alpine, you can add a key chain because if we do this a lot. So we’re just going to connect over here and now you have your SSH to your phone which means on your Mac. You can go to private bar to change like the slider text which will be another video I will have if you go to stash themes.
You do it through into work which customizes the servers are down. They never really come back up. You can put ring tones through here just in case you have song and you cut it down. You just get info-to-info or in there. Put it in here and you got that, the slider text which I was talking about before is like when you open up your phone instead of saying slide to unlock. You can name it like mine as well. It’s Welcome Alex. My turning off is Bye-Bye Alex and things like that.
So that’s really how you just connect. Other than that, you have to check out my other videos and see what you are doing when you could do this. SSH is not that hard. You just kind of have to know what you're doing and that’s really it and just a cyber duck is the application I'm using. Cyber duck right here. I am going to leave that in the video description. It will be on my website in the download.
So just in case you don’t have that already you can get that and you can use Window CP. Window CP is about the same thing. You still put in your IP address. You still put in user name roots, password alpine. So other than that, I pretty much covered it all. That is how you SSH your phone, iPhone 3G Geek out.
