Put it in and slice it for you. So now that we’ve done that, if we go straight into the slicer. So let’s go straight into the slicer and click on piano roll, we can see that the key is –going from C, C#, D, D#.
So now, if we want we can already start sampling music. So we’ve got the sample in, that’s fine. Just before we get started, let’s just tune up the tempo to 95, okay so just carry on. So now we’ve done that, we’ve got the samples in. So let’s just turn up the volume on the side, click on that and it will tab here and drag up and down, drag it all the way up to make the volume nice and loud.
Now on the end, we can change the panning, the volume, the cut resolution and pitch. So I don’t know about you guys, but I’m just going to keep it the way it is, just click on reset and I’m just going to keep it the way it is at the moment. I’m quite happy of what it is.
So now that we’ve the sample, let’s drag in the kicks and stuff. So you guys are going to be using your own kicks obviously. So let me just select my instruments. Okay now I’m just going to add a quick effect, so I’m going to go into 11. I’m going to go into Edison now. I’m going to go into the snare and I’m going to give it a echo. So I’m going to select Fruity reverve which is right here. I’m just going to turn that down a little bit. So this has got a little reverve on it, that’s a bit too much, now that’s fine.
So now what we’re going to do is make the channel longer so it’s easy for us to work with the sample. So at the moment we only got one, two, one, two so we only got four barres. Let’s say its eight barres. So this is eight barres which is actually in the rule live only two barres, but we can call it three eight mini barres if you guys want. So let’s just do a quick beat, simple beat.
[Demonstration]
Okay, so we’ve got quick nice hip hop beat going on there. Now going down to our sampling. Let’s open up the sampling. Now let’s go straight into the sampling and let’s see what we can do. So before we get started, what I like to do is I like to have a look on the pattern of the kick. So I’ll just copy the kick, right click copy, go to my Arabian samples right click and paste.
Now I know the way the kick is laid out in my Arabians and my kick. So now the Arabian sample is going to be playing as the kick goes. This is an example.
[Demonstration]
Let me just put the Arabian sound into my play list. I’m just going to turn this to 16.So the kick is eight and samples is 16. So you can already see we’re already sampling the beat. Now that’s something really useful in the Fruity loops. If you extract it and make it longer, it will play longer.
[Demonstration]
So we can do that again. I’m still working on it and I’m just going to be playing around with this. So instead of playing that to 16, I’m actually going to play down to eight because this sample would be just repeating itself over and over again. Plays just like this.
[Demonstration]
So this is how you sample guys. So as you can see it’s very simple. What we’ll do is we just clone that down, click and pattern to-I just want to pattern to-we’re just going to change the sample a little bit. So we’ll go.
[Demonstration]
So we just put that in there and let’s play it now.
[Demonstration]
Now that’s not bad. So going back to the Edison, I’ll do an intro, so I’ll select the whole sample and drag into the play list. When we do that, we’ll get the whole sample in here. We can right click on it, right click on time and click on two barres. This will automatically make the beat to the loops into two barres. So now what we can do is we can delete that and have the loop going for two barres and then go into the sample beat. So let’s listen to this how it sound so far. Let me just turn off the mic.
[Demonstration]
