Nice try there, and concept is right but the execution is awfully wrong. First when you see engines that can turn one or more cylinders off, this means, the ECU on the vehicle/engine actually adjusts several sensors and input to the engine: first being, fuel pump, lowering the pressure delivered, mix sensor -an offset value is added to the calculation to avoid the ECU to adjust the mixture, IAC is adjusted to the new specification of incoming air for idling, and finally, the flashpoint is adjusted at all 3 remaining cylinders to prevent misfiring and also to eliminate the "rough" riding of the engine. Remember the computer does all of this dynamically, and by so, when you depress the gas pedal, the computer may activate the remaining cylinder to avoid excesive consuption that would come from you depressing the pedal too much to compensate for the deactivated cylinder. Also, note that with a deactivated cyl the car may be sending unburnt fuel off of the EGR and down the exhaus

I think the test is not correct, because the fuel consumption depend on many factor such:the diver, route for test ...The cylinder deactivation only use in light load engine, here the diver use CDA in starting car(highest load engine)

This is the stupidest thing I have ever seen! When you run on 3 cylinders without the computer to change parameters you will put more load on the motor. And guess what! You burn more fuel.
