Host: Thank you so much for popping in to give us your credit cards beating ideas for wedding. What’s your first one?
Helen Webster: Well, my first one is to get married off peak. Many people get married in this country and you may and I could tell you but if you can get married during this—winter month you got to be able to save money and negotiate straight away. And also I think it’s great to have a mach in the winter. Do you want to have a fantastic course in wedding, full of orange and red colors or winter wedding or the winter—theme?
Host: That’s lovely. But have you brought it already?
Helen Webster: Yes, definitely. My second tip would be to use friends and relatives I mean everyone got hidden talents and for this happy to help in your planning a wedding as well, so you might have—to this fantastic called the cake making or friend who is a florist. You know get them involve, go and tell them—cash that way. Another thing as well little things like get the girls around, go and tell you’ll make your—have a good girl evening and make your face at the same time.
Host: Lovely, it sounds perfect, anymore?
Helen Webster: Yeah, my third tip will be to know your dress designers. We will see these celebrities wearing these gorgeous amazing gowns that cost thousands of thousands of pounds and you might s well can can’t afford of that so do your research and there are some great designers out there doing dresses of thousand pounds, if you’re on the 600 pound market you know all inspired by those catwalk gowns, the color is beautiful.
Host: Lovely.
Helen Webster: Okay. My fourth tip will be to save money on your flowers. Do and look a bit of research as well and for me to keep me—flower is to buy flowers that are in season because if you buy flowers that aren’t available that being in a flown half around the world that can be much more expensive. So have a chat with your florist but—a short time if you’re getting married.
Host: Fantastic, what’s tip number five.
Helen Webster: Well, my fifth tip for brides to be would be to get that glow for last. I mean every bride-to-be wants to look fantastic on her day from top to toe. It doesn’t have to cost you so what do we found out about a local beauty colleges what they can do you know manicure, pedicure, waxing feet, tan for a bit less, they go a lot in cheaper. And then I would tell yourself like say if you can’t find a local hairdresser he’s trying to increase that drive to—they might be willing do your half a bit less and also if your make-up if you’re happy to your make-up and yourself in the big day then why not go and find the make-up—one of the big department stores that got some free advice, give some a free tips. You find out how to get your lip gloss last in the day and discover, learn a lot kind of things.
Host: Yeah, have a play around and also every single day you can use those tips as well. It’s fantastic.
Helen Webster: Yeah, exactly.
Host: Okay, what’s tip number six?
Helen Webster: Prioritize and this is something that is key for couples at every state of their wedding planning. I think the first thing you have to do is sit down with your fiancée and put the cost of budget because you know otherwise things conspire a lot of control and I’d say keep going for a few hours so you think about what’s really important to you as a couple so if it’s the music then maybe have a buffet meals so a bit of money there but then you know spend a bit more on a detail with amazing band. If it’s the food that’s important then spend more on the food and then put together play list for your evening days so try to think about why you’re spending the money.
Host: Lovely. Keep on coming tip number seven.
Helen Webster: Well tip number seven will be to save on the food because obviously your price per head for food can be one of the big costs of your wedding. So I would think look a little bit about what you want looking for what you want from the day and also where you can do some a little bit cheaper, think about sourcing law can be the same as your flowers look for a little bit cheap. And also food that is in season because you never want to spit your salads and they—what’s rise in the mid July of so you just think about making kind of—the reception that you’re having. And also a buffet can be much cheaper because I think about that and don’t be afraid to have unique cake. I mean everyone knows the cake wins—that I don’t think they’ll probably complain about that.
Host: Yeah, fish and chips.
Helen Webster: Yes.
Host: I love to go to a wedding where they served fish and chips. And what’s tip number eight?
Helen Webster: Well visit a wedding show, those some fantastic shows up and down the country. And if you go to one of the big ones in London at a national wedding show the design of the wedding show—once in your life called county is a great way to find tips and advice and to get it for free most importantly so go along and maybe have a chat with local spies see what they’re able to offer and also don’t be afraid to negotiate you know that they actually want your business so what don’t you go and ask what they can do you special deals and also find out what discounts they got available.
Host: For these brides to be you can feel their purses getting heavier by the minute. Moving on, tip number nine.
Helen Webster: Well, I would say tip number nine would be creative. If you haven’t got huge budget then think about different ways you can make your day special so if for example think about yours and your fiancée’s interest and hobbies and try to incorporate those a little bit more into the day so make your invitation as you make yourselves but include the great part of yourselves and you may even think—you had as long as it’s really personal to you.
Host: Final tip from you Helen.
Helen Webster: Well my final tip and it’s the one that most people forget towards the end of planning a big wedding, remember that it’s your day and the most important thing of your wedding is that you and your fiancée, love is the pretty much you get to marry having that special day and I think as long as you keep that the top of your mind you can’t go far wrong especially when you know relatives put on the pressure on to invite the great aunts you haven’t seen for 10 years all that kind of thing. It’s just important to reimburse you know really crucial about getting married.
Host: That brilliant tip is fantastic. I think everyone out there will appreciate those. Thank you so much for popping in.
Helen Webster: Thank you.
Host: It’s lovely to see you Helen.
