Audra Lowe: This holiday season you might be trying to book a flight but you’re not looking forward to all costs involved. Jeanette Pavini tells us how we can all make flying affordable and it’s in today’s better ways to save.
Jeanette Pavini: Travel pros know that the difference between the price of two seats on the same flight can be hundreds of dollars. Here are ways to keep your airline cost down to earth and make that you get in that less expensive seat.
Search for bargain fares online on Monday afternoons. Experts say that’s when the new fare show up. Sometimes a new low fare will calls other carriers to lower their fares too. So it pays to check in on Mondays to see whether there’s a deal on the ticket that you want.
It’s also usually less expensive to fly on Tuesday or Wednesday if you can. Now other ways to save on air fares include round-trip fares can be cheaper than one-way tickets, even if you don’t use the return half. Two local airports can offer different fares, sign up for alerts from your favorite carriers and travel sites to let you know when a good fare is available and watch out for baggage fees.
Finally, make sure to check out package deals. Recently we found packages that include airfare and hotel rooms to popular locations like Hawaii and Europe at extreme discounts. Several companies are offering great deals for family vacations in Europe over the Thanksgiving holiday as well.
Audra Lowe: Thanks a lot Jeannette. A trip to Europe sounds good to be right on there now. Anybody else? Now? Anyone? Alright, don’t forget you could also get great savings right now just by heading to bettertv.com and then clicking on the get coupons button.
