How to Say "My Hobby is Playing Piano" in Chinese
Hello and welcome to Chinese Learn Lessons my name is Lang and today I would like to
teach you one sentence in Chinese and that is my hobby is playing piano. My hobby is
playing piano in Chinese Wo De Ai Hao Shi Tan Gang Qin
So this has been a request on youtube and I recommend everybody to send me a request

then the pronunciation of each Chinese character and then the writing of this characters.
Okay let’s have a look at this sentence Wo De Ai Hao Shi Tan Gang Qin so the first
character Wo means I, the second character De doesn’t happen at your meaning but Wo
De altogether means my, the third and 4th character Ai means hobby followed by the next
character hao which means is, and the next character is Tan which means spring and the
last two characters Gang which means piano so Gang Qin spring piano actually means
playing piano so altogether for the whole sentence Wo De Ai Hao Shi Tan Gang Qin My
hobby is playing piano or in English my hobby is playing piano. Okay let’s have a look at
each individual characters.
The first character is wo which means I and you can see that it is assert tongue character
the pronunciation is wo. W pronounce u and o pronounce o and it’s assert tongue that is
going from up to down and then up again it is Wo in shorter Wo.
The second character is De and you can say that is more likely an left and right structure
character. It doesn’t happen at your meaning and the pronunciation is De so D
prounounced T and E pronounced U which is tongue of no tongue which means you
whisper this character. It is De altogether means my Wo De means my.
The next character is ai and you can see that the pronunciation is ai I means laugh a plus I
and I pronounce we which is force tongue is going up to down it is ai or in the shorter
version ai.
The third character is hao means good, you can see the pronunciation is hao h
pronounced h and ao ao which is the tongue going from up to down and then up again it
is hao or in the shorter version hao.
The next character is shi and shi means yes in this sentence. You can see that the
pronunciation of shi. Sh pronounce shi and I pronounce e which is forced tongue which
going from up to down it is Shi, Shi or in the shorter version Shi.
The next character is Tan means spring and you guys see the pronunciation is Tan so T
plus T and an plus an with a second tone there which is going from down to up it is Tan,
Tan. Tan or in the shorter version Tan
The next character is gang and gang is more likely a left and right structured character.
You can see that gang is still and the pronunciation is gang so g pronounced g and ang
pronounced ang which the first tongue totally flat it is gang, gang or in the shorter version
gang.
The last character is qin means instrument so gang-qin altogether string instrument
actually means piano. You can see the pronunciation of qin so q plus in and in pronounce
qin which the second tongue which is going from down to up it is qin or in the shorter
vesion qin so altogether for the whole sentence for 3 times Wo De Ai Hao Shi Tan Gang
Qin.
