Hi, this is Frank Furness with Sales and Marketing Tips. We will be bringing you a number of new tips on how to find new business, how to prospect, how to close more sales.
Today I just want to speak about your attitude and preparation. Every time you are going to go into a sales call, take a few minutes before you go in and just think about what you are going to say. Prepare your questions. Know what you are going to say right upfront. Have an objective for the call. What is the objective? May be it's just to establish your relationship. May be it's a fact finding exercise, may be it's a closing exercise. Know what you are going to say.
Get enthusiastic. One of my first bosses I ever had said, for the client it doesn't matter that you have had an accident on the way there. Doesn't matter that you had a fight with somebody. They want 1000% of your enthusiasm when you are there. Think of yourself as a wind-up doll. As soon as you go in there, give them 100% of your enthusiasm. Forget what has happened before you got there. You have got one shot, that's all.
Finally, think big. The bigger you think, the bigger the sales is going to be.
