How to Serve Tapenade

Here’s a chef tip du jour. When it comes to serving tapenade, get creative, use your imagination. Just think whatever tastes good with olives is going to taste even better with tapenade. My favorite ways to serve it are real simple. Simply with some fresh crusty French bread or what I like to do as a first course with a little side salad is take some fresh mozzarella, place it on top of the piece of toasted baguette, top it off with some of that freshly made pureed tapenade. A little side salad and makes an excellent appetizer or first course. Now keep in mind, when you’re making tapenade to look for olives that are not already cured in oil because olives are already 20% oil and when you make the tapenade, you’re going to add in your own.
