This next exercise is designed to help with the racquet acceleration of arguably the most important shot in tennis, the Serve. Although this video is geared almost exclusively towards game-based drills rather than individual shots. I wanted to include this exercise anyway since the serve does after all begin every single point in tennis. Have the player stand on the baseline and snap down so hard that the ball bounces on their own side of the net first and then bounces over the net as the players advance.

Work on more and more wrist acceleration to eventually snap down with tremendous velocity, so each ball bounces on the server's own side of the net and then hits the opposing back fence as we are now demonstrating. If they can't reach the back fence, then challenge them to get the second bounce as far as possible.
