Kraig Ware: Hello! I am Kraig Ware, Founder and Chief Designer of LiteScapes. Today, I am
going to show you how to decorate your home or business using Christmas lights
to make the holiday season very festive. Now, we are going to show you a few
techniques that I think will make a positive impact on your overall design.
First, we are going to show you all about power chords. Where they go, how we
secure them for safety and security, plus how to make the system durable in rain
or wind, and snow and that type of element. Next, we are going to show you
probably the overall most dramatic thing you can do which is your roof lighting.
Now, we are going to show you two techniques with that. There are several
others, but the two we are going to show you are C9. Also, we are going to show
you eye circles. Next, we will take you in the ground, tying your design down to
the foundation, making sure that your house isn't floating. From there, we will
show you some other ground techniques using tree lighting and we will show you
branch wraps, we are going to show you trunk wraps, puddle techniques, we are
going to show you tear graphs, all different ways that you can make a creative
effect using your own lights there to home.
From there, we are going to show you other ground techniques like lighting your
shrubs with canopy lighting, use of mini lights to make a low cost impact on your
overall design. Then, finally we will show you a day-time decor, that's using
garlands and wreaths to decorate your home, not only giving a huge impact in the
evening, but also giving you a better color, depth.
Now, to do all these things, we are going to tell you about today, you are going to
need some tools. Now, first of all, I would recommend two ladders. First of all, A-
frame ladder, and preferably one that's adjustable. That will allow you to change
the size and shape of that ladder for stairs, for uneven walkways and such
providing you a nice safe foundation.
Secondly, an extension ladder. That extension ladder will help you get up on
gables, roofs, dormers that type of things. Secondly, you are going to need some
common tools. You are going to need may be some wire strippers, and need all
those pliers, some electrical tape, some clips, some zip ties, other accessories that
we'll show you throughout these next clips that you will see. So that those can
manage your home safely and securely without causing damage to your home.
Now, one more word about safety. Remember, when you are working with
ladders, never over-extend yourself, and make sure that you've always got both
legs, extended, firmly seated on the ground, or if you are on a A-frame, make sure
all four legs are firmly seated on the ground or surface below you. And remember,
you are working with electricity, be careful, take your time, stay away from water,
stay away from metal structures. When you are putting up your ladder, a word of
advise, always look up, make sure that there is nothing above you as far as tree
branches that can hit you ladder or power lights that can really cause a damage to
you and your property.
Before we get started, a little bit about myself. As I said earlier, I am Kraig Ware,

fun. So let's get started.
