How to set up your mini planted aquarium. Step 1 Wash your substrate. Step 2 Add planting substrate. Step 3 Place main substrate on top. Step 4 Attach the internal filter. Step 5 Set and attach the heater. Step 6 Attach CO2 diffuser. Step 7 Pour water in through a colander. Step 8 Add dechlorinator to neutralise chlorine. Step 9 Add your chosen decor. Step 10 Add your potted plants. Step 11 Add some more plants. Step 12 Add some plant food. Step 13 Add half a CO2 tablet. Step 14 The CO2 reactor is filling up. Step 15 Carefully position the cover glass.
