Hi, I’m Michelle Johnson, the Face Paint Lady of Painted Faces.
We are going to decorate birthday party frames and so far, we’ve chosen our frames, we’ve thought about our materials and now we’re going to set up a work station for the kids at your party.
So one of the things that you need is clear horizontal space, it’s very convenient if you’ve taken some white craft or other type of craft paper, something that you’d be able to roll up and discard at the end of the party and you’ve covered your work surface with that. You want to have the materials back near the person and you do need an attendant. You need a teen or an adult who would be willing to work with the children so that you can make sure that everybody knows what they need to do and how to do it and that’s the safety thing we’ll be talking about soon. But your work station will include the materials that you chose.
You’ve made your frame decision, you’ve made your art materials decision and what you want to do is based on the size of your table, let’s say you can sit 6 children, you’ll have your 6 child size table out and you want to spread let’s say you’ve chosen feathers, you want some feathers at one end. Some feathers at the other end if you’ve chosen sequence the same thing; the whole idea is to distribute your materials in such a way that they basically can stay sited in their own area and have access to everything and not wait because as you know birth day party should go from one thing to the next. And you’ll want the child to be able to finish their picture frame at the time allotted.
What we’re going to do in the next clip is we’re going to actually decorate a frame.
