How to Set Your Home Page in Opera
Hi. This is Mike Callahan, Doctor File Finder and welcome to your Butterscotch.com tutorial on changing the Homepage in Opera.
Now, this is a fresh installation of the upper browser. Here is the default Homepage interesting reading that I’m sure once you’re done reading it you’re going to want to change the Homepage to one of your choosy.
So in Opera, click Tools, get on to Preferences on the General tab. Now Opera gives you quite a few options in this regard that you can continue from the last session you had, continue with saved sessions, start with the homepage, start with the blank page or show a startup dialog.
Now unlike the other browsers we’ve looked at, if you say Use Current and you have more than one page loaded, Opera will only recognize the page that you’re on. So, watch. I’ll close this, open another tab go to Google.
Now we’ll go back preferences. You see if I try to say Use Current, it doesn’t give me both pages it just continues to use the page that’s closest to the top. So that’s something to keep in mind.
You also want to make sure you have this set for what you want. If you want to start with the homepage, continue the last time. Some people want to have the start up dialog and I’ll show that on another tutorial.
So, this is setting your startup page in Opera and that’s all there is to it.
