How to Set the Personal Settings in the 2010 Honda Pilot
The Pilot Touring models driver memory system allows two drivers to store their
preferred seat and side mirror positions as well as several other customizable settings all
link to each driver’s remote entry transmitter. The back of each remote indicates whether
it's for driver one or driver two. Instructions for linking the remote to the vehicle appear
there as well. Once paired, the driver’s seat and side mirrors will automatically move to
your preferred positions and your program settings will be in place whenever you use
your remote to unlock the vehicle.
Storing your seat and mirror positions is accomplished with the memory buttons in the
driver’s door. With the ignition switch on, adjust your seat and side mirrors to your
preference. Then press and release the set button on the driver’s door. You will hear a
beep. Press and hold the appropriate button, either one or two, corresponding to the
numeral on your remote within five seconds after pressing the set button. When you hear
two beeps, your positions are stored.
All the driver’s memory system details are also available in your technology reference
guide or owner’s manual. You can personally customize several other settings in your
Pilot Touring model using the multi information display in the info and select reset
buttons on the steering wheel. For example, you can select the language displayed, how
long interior lights take to dim after entering, how long headlights stay on after you exit
and whether and when the doors automatically lock?
We’ll use the auto door locking feature as an example of how to customize your settings.
After unlocking the vehicle with the remote you normally use, turn the ignition on and
press the info button until the keyless memory settings screen comes up. Press the select
reset button to enter the customizing mode. Press the info button to select change setting
and push the select reset button. Scroll through these options with the info button to door
window setup and push select reset. Use the info button to find auto door lock and press
the select reset button. The auto door lock screen will let you scroll through the choices
with the info button. Push the select reset button to enter your choice. After several
seconds, the display will return to the customize menu, so you can continue to tailor your
choices. On each screen, you have the option to select exit to leave that menu or group.
The complete step-by-step instructions for changing all the customizable settings can be
found in the Pilot owner’s manual.
