How to set up a BlackBerry Bold
In this video tutorial, we’ll show you how to setup your Blackberry Bold, including your controls and other view.
At the bottom of the handset you have a clip to remove the back cover. Hold the phone firmly; press the back cover clip to remove back cover just as shown in the video.
Now slide you Sim card into the slot just as shown in the video, with chip facing down. Now put the battery at the back ensuring the copper connectors are facing the right direction.
Finally, put the back cover back onto the handset as shown. Along the side of the handset you have your hands free kit, USB car charger and basic connection ports. Next is your shortcut key which had to face your voice dialing feature and this is your hard support of a micro SD Card slot.
Click this open and hold as shown to insert you Sim or memory. Slide this in to the slot with the connectors facing up. Push it in until you feel the slide click.
At the bottom of the handset, you have your mic, back cover clip LAN auto loop. Along the other side, you have customized your shortcut button which will activate your camera, next is your volume controls.
At the top of the handset, you have your mutual standby button. On the reverse of the handset, you have a 2 mega pixel camera with and L E D light flash.
You have a 4 QWERTY keyboard, the trap ball which you can push in to confirm any actions. You also have a green core key, menu key, trap ball, back key and a red end core key.
Press this key now to switch on your Blackberry. To unlock your keypad, press the start key then press the green core key. Here is a closer look at what you call as keyboard. You noticed your keys have a slight curve to make it easy for you to type.
At the top of the screen you have your battery life meter, network on Wi-Fi lane, signal strength and BIS synch icon, profile icon, messaging status, date and time.
You noticed that this front screen is your home screen. At the little bottom, you have a short cut bar. First is messaging, email, contacts and phonebook, calendar, web browser and media.
Scroll your finger across the trap ball and navigate the handset. To enter menu, push the trap ball in.

This is your main menu; you can access everything from movies to games, messaging to web browsing and much more.
To quickly change your profile, scroll up this so that the profile icon just as shown. From here, you can change your profile and edit your regular messaging tones through the advanced function.
From the main menu, select top then select date and time. First you can choose your time zone, now you can enter the time and select your time format and then finally you can select your dates and choose your source.
