Hi everyone, this is Wally Kern with Supreme Gecko. I wanted to show you the set up that we
have for our diploductilus phytatus, this is an Australian gecko, very small gecko only getting to
be about 2, a little over 2 inches. I have a male and a female currently, I just have the male in this
enclosure and as you can see, I have just a few decorations, the plants, the plastic plants. A
couple of pieces of wood for to crawl around on, the water bowl and as you can see a little dish
with vitamins and minerals that I put the meal worms in. I feed mostly crickets but I do have
meal worms in here all the time to give it an additional meal. Let’s go ahead and see if we can
find the phytatus, I have a funny feeling I know where it’s going to be though, and there we go.
This is the male, diploductilus phytatus, and as you can see he’s a little pudgy right now, he’s
been filling up on those crickets and meal worms, I’m going to go ahead and see if we can move
him over a little bit here, so we can get a better view of him. This is a really neat interesting
animal here, I'm hoping that this winter I can cool them down and in the spring time introduced
the male to the female, and we’ll see how they do. Again, this is Wally Kern with Supreme
Gecko and this is diploductilus phytatus.
