How to Setup Dual Monitor on an iMac

Hey guys! What’s up? Tech ___ to do ___ here, and on this video I’m going to show you how to hook up an external monitor to you iMac now. If you have the Neo 24 inch, the new iMac that came out. ___ March, get this, this is the mini display port to DVI adapter, do not get the mini DVI to DVI adapter cause I made a error and it was too big so--. This one fits perfectly to DVI.

Now, there are two different types of this DVI to VGA, here goes DVI and there is a DVI to be ___ after also. And here goes VGA ___. They’re going to be using DVI, now I’m going to show you how to hook this up to your iMac and how to set it up on your computer. Now, when you open it, you get something like this, here goes the VGA, and there here goes the Apple Media display port. Most VGA, which hooks to this, which have little teeth in it. This is DVI, and this over here is VGA. So now, what you need to do is connect this side to your iMac which I’m going to show now. Now, here goes the back of my iMac, now here goes where you’re going to connect it is the last one right here. See if that’s correct. Click the ___ like this. There they hooked up, now you’re going to hook anything that’s in the way like your ___ cable. ___ over here and just connect that back. And another USB cable, and there goes now, don’t think what you need to do, just connect the DVI cable there.

Now, when you have anything hooked, all you do is just plug this side to your sound display. Okay now, as you can see, I have it on my display, at my sound display, and here goes my ___. Now, I’m just going to configure this on my ___ it works good, if its setup. Right, so I’m just going to switch it to see—no! This is on this side, so what you’ll do is go to your, this system preferences and go to displays, lets switch that to 1000 by 200. I’m going to change the arrangement of them.
