Okay, this one Outlook 2007, I want to show you is basically real quick way of make this work with Gmail, since Gmail so popular and I used it. I have quite a few email addresses. When you’re first setting up, when you launch Outlook, it’s going to ask you to setup an email account on this stuff and you can kind of go to the Wizard and do it. And with Gmail because it integrates well at Gmail, it’s pretty simple. Basically if you wanted to setup a new Gmail account, let me show, go to tools account settings, this is after the fact, after we’ve already set up at least one. Click new and then you want to select POP3 or IMAP. You’re going to be doing either one. I still use POP3. I’m not fun yet, so in network we use exchange.
Here, you just hit next, type in your name, whatever name you wanted to show up. Put in your email address which should be jadeo@gmail.com or whatever your Gmail account. That’s already setup. Put in your password, retype it, hit next, done select the manually configure and it should automatically configure your Outlook to work with all the Gmail and you could do that with all your Gmail accounts.
Now for example, if it doesn’t work where it doesn’t automatically pull in your settings for some reason which I have a couple Gmail accounts that do that and that’s because it’s tied to something else. It’s a long story. And you can just click manually configure, hit next, you tell what type of email server it is and you just manually put it all your information. You could find that information when you log in to your Gmail account on the web and click on settings. But anyways, that’s how you set it up and I’ve never had an issue with any of the Gmail accounts.
