Male speaker: Welcome to thehumanmanualonline.com. In this video tutorial we'll show you how to set up your Sony Ericsson K850i.
First turn the handset so the bottom is facing up, and slide the bottom cover open as shown in the video. Sliding the orange key will pop your battery up. Now tilt to slide out the battery. Now slide the battery back in to the connector space and towards the handset, and push it until the orange clip clips over.
Slide your SIM card into the slot as shown with the connectors facing away from you. Make sure you push it in until it clicks, now insert your empty memory card as shown in the video with the connectors facing towards you. Slide it in until it clicks. Now close the flap.
Pressing and holding the power button on the top of the handset until it vibrates will switch your handset on. You have a normal mobile phone keypad and your navigation controls are a four way, green or blue rocker around the two and the five keys.
850i uses the bottom of the screen as touch, which is where the three dots are above the top row of keys. On the left you have a Call and a My shortcuts key. On the right you have a cancel or delete key and also an end call key.
Pressing and holding the '#' will switch the phone's profile into silent mode. Pressing the '*' then tapping the right of the screen will switch your keypad lock on. Pressing down on your four-way directional key will give you access to your phonebook, left for messaging, right is a free shortcut later to be defined, and up will take you to your calendar.
At the top of the handset, you'll notice video calling camera and a light sensor for the screen. Along the side of the handset, you'll notice a switch just like your digital camera, which will enable to switch between preview and playback video camera and camera modes. To activate the camera, press on the camera On and Off button which is next to your capture key.
Further up the handset, you have zoom controls and volume controls. In the back of the handset, you'll see a shutter which is protected by a glass cover, a Xenon flash, a red-eye reduction light, and a silt next to the camera is also your speaker.
To access your menu, tap the Menu option on the bottom of the screen and use the four-way directional pad to navigate the handset. To select, tap enter. Now to go back a step press back, if you want to return to the home screen press the end call key.
Pressing your power button on the top of the handset will allow you to switch the handset off, turn on your keylock or you can change your profile. To unlock your keypad, press the '*' key on the keypad, and then tap unlock on the bottom right of the screen. To lock your keypad do the same thing '*' then lock.
