In this video tutorial we’ll show you how to setup your Apple iPhone 3G including controls and overview. Please find your envelope provided inside your box and remove this in card tray pin. Now, push the end of the pin into the hole just as shown in the video and remove the SIM card tray. Once you remove the tray, put your SIM card into the tray just as shown. Now, slide the SIM card tray with the SIM card into the designated slot on the handset.
Press and hold the power button in front of the top right of your handset. Your handset will vibrate and then display the Apple logo as part of startup. You will now need your USB cable in computer or laptop. Plug one into the USB cable into your Apple iPhone just as shown and then plug the other end into your computer or laptop. We are using Windows Vista. Once you have plugged in your USB cable into your computer and your iPhone it will try and install the drivers for the handset and the iTunes sync.
You will need to use iTunes to complete the setup of your iPhone. When you're ready and it's all complete click start and then find and select iTunes. Your iTunes software will automatically detect if your iPhone is connected. It will now show you some settings for your iPhone. You can type your iPhone’s name for instance on which programs to sync with. You can also ALT-TAB iTunes sync with your iPhone every time you connect it. You can select different programs by clicking within the dropdown box area.
Once you're complete select done. Upon selecting done your iPhone will begin to sync. From here you can now update your iPhone software or restore it to a previous version. You can also see your memory status at the bottom of the screen and view what is installed on your handset. This includes ringtones, music, pictures, podcasts, some videos and applications.
If you want to use the App Store on your iPhone it's advisable to register for an iTunes account. Once complete your iPhone will display the following message. iPhone is activated. So I just tap the button of the screen to unlock your iPhone. Your phone has the large 3.5 inch multiple touch, touch screen. At the button of the handset you have your home key. Underneath you have charger and USB ports and mic and loudspeaker. At the top you have your power button and your standby lock key. You also have a 3.5 millimeter jack so you can use it with the headphones. Well on the left side you have your volume controls and silent shortcut key.
On the reverse of the handset you have two megapixel camera. When the screen is back you can push your hand button to bring the phones alike. This is your home screen middle applications and access to whatever your settings. Slide your finger across the screens to access and other applications. At the bottom you have your home screen short cuts which can be customized and at the top you have the date, time, network name, signal strength and status.
Press in the phone icon will give you access to your virtual keypad so you can dial numbers. No matter where you are press the home button to close the application and refer that to the home screen.
