In this video tutorial we’ll show you how to set up your new LG Chocolate including controls and overview. Turn the hand switch over so the screen is facing down. Hold to the phone grip and slide the back cover off of the handset. This is your SIM Card slot and next to it is your Memory Card slot. Slide your SIM Card into the slot as shown with the chip facing down. Push up to the Memory Card slot flat. Your LG Chocolate can handle up to 32 gigabits of a Micro SD HD card. Pop your Micro SD memory card into the slot as shown with the chip facing down and then firmly close it flat.
Pop your battery back into the handset which is on the copper. Connect as the face in the right direction and now slide the back cover by going to handsets. At the top of handset is your power button which also doubles as your touch screen or lock key. Press and hold the power button in for a few seconds and then you’ll see the LG logo appears in your screen. Within a few seconds you’ll see you're quick setup card. Select the arrow to go through the quick setup guide. During the process you’ll be required to select your default language and set the dates and time using a roller type style of selector.
You can also opt to use a normal on screen keypad within a type of a button. During the setup you can quickly set up your email too. You now see a series of quick tips and tutorial showing you how to make use of the S Class menu system and other phone features. At the end space in that using the phone, your network service provider may send you some text messages just to update any connection settings for internet browsing, picture messaging and voicemail. Please install any updates.
On the top of the screen you will see your network signal strength and connection type. 3G or HSDPA, profile icon, memory card if inserted, battery and time, underneath is your four home screens. You can switch between each one by swapping your finger across just as shown. Your four screens will give you quick access to your widgets, contacts, browser favorite and finally application shortcuts. This is your clock widget and by tapping it selecting the small clock in the bottom left you can quickly set an alarm.
This is your status bar widget which updates you on any missed calls and unread messages and emails. At the bottom, you will see your network main followed by the quick menu bar. First is dialing, then phonebook, messages and then the main menu. This is your multitasking key which allows you to flip between applications. It's up in the cube brings up your Micro version of your four way home screens. Quickly flick to each one you desire and double tap to select it. This is your main menu also known as your S Class menu and you can scrolls through the various applications and functions by swapping your finger across as shown. As you can see, your menu has been broken down into four sections and you can rearrange the order of the applications.
All the photos is in the landscape to get a full view using the HD quality four inch touch screen. Inside of the handset you have quick access to your music player. Next is your Mini USB port including home and card charges, beta and TV out cables. At the top you have your 3.5 millimeter jack to plug in your own headphones. Next to this is your power and key lock button.
On the other side you have your volume controls rocker as well as your camera shortcut button. And finally on the back of the handset you have your five megapixel camera and the LED flash.
