Hi, I'm Delia Passi, I'm author of Winning the Toughest Costumer: The Essential Guide to Selling to Women. I'm also the founder of Women Certified.
Empower her, empower her with information. Women appreciate the sales person that is knowledgeable and secure but not arrogant. The differences, your confidence should result from having in depth knowledge and mastery about your product and services and listen enough to know her needs and concerns.
Get her buying through out the presentation but be careful look for those back-off warning signs. When she starts to find excuses why she needs to leave, or she says, she needs to think about it so then she can leave, or she starts to back away physically. She starts looking at her watch, her face becomes a bit tighter tense, she maybe get easily distracted if you notice this signals immediately turn the conversation around so that you are focusing on what she needs to hear and what she wants to tell you, not what you want here to do.
Give her materials to further her knowledge. When she says she needs to think about it, she does so give her materials, books, resources, whatever you have that is appropriate based on her interest remember women tend to do more research than man. They tend to do comparison chopping and comparing notes more so with her materials before the encounter ends.
If you want to customize the information then assure her that, you will have the specific information to her within days. And be sure you do so, never disappoint her what’s most important is that you take the first step today to showing her that you care and you want to be her provider of choice.
