Laura: So Dick, what do you have there now?
Dick: Well, I got some tools for sharpening knives and axes.
Laura: Why do we need some sharp axes and knives?
Dick: Well, they simply do not function, they are not efficient.

Okay, that is all the strokes it takes, I wipe it off, we have a sharp edge. I want to give it a try.

Dick: So, now what we need to do is sharpen that most common knife that camper’s carry which is a Swiss Knife that you know. And so I am going apply the same kind of technique here, only I am holding the knife blade still I am stroking the knife blade and I turn it over and I am always stroking into the edge, you notice. I turn it over and one more time there, wipe it off, ready to go okay.
Now, how we do in axe? Same basic principle and here now, I am going to do the same kind of stroking action as I did before into the edge like this, turn it over knock off bur, it is ready to use
Laura: Fantastic, well done.
Dick: So anyway, why do you have a sharp tool in the bush, whether you are cutting a loaf of bread, opening up a fish or whatever, you want that plus the safety factor.
