Hello! My name is Donal Norris. We are here today at Hollywood High School and we are doing an engagement shoot.
One of the things that I think was really amazing about today was that Mary and Jason for their engagement shoot picked the place that was really special which is here at Hollywood High School. This is where they met on the first time.
I like with every engagement shoot to make it a lot more special and a lot more personal and the way to do that is to find something that means something. Of course you can always do like a beach or a park but something with a deeper meaning is all that much more special. So, that’s what we’re looking for.
Okay now, what we’re going to do is I’m going to move you and get you into some positions and if they feel little weird don’t do them, okay.
One of the main challenges is getting people to feel comfortable and especially people that aren’t necessarily comfortable in front of the camera and so I have many tricks up nicely, there’s many things that I do from getting people to interact with one another to actually doing the things that I’m asking them to do for them.
It’s kind of like mean get them a little bit, kind of—you know that sort of thing, you know.
The idea is you have to be comfortable enough to be able to play in front of the camera. I have to be able to get you comfortable enough to relax and once I can get you comfortable enough to relax, all of the interactions and anything I ask you to do will always be brilliant because it’d be real and that’s kind of what we’re looking for. Anything that I set up, propose, or what not, I want it kind of set it up and then shake it up a little bit. So that way, we make it real and honest because if it’s not honest and real, it’s not going to be the art and the quality that I’m looking for it personally.
