So, we are going to talk about the basics of playing the piano. First of all, it’s very important to establish good posture at the instrument. So, we have to sit properly in front of the instrument. We have to sit approximately 1/3 to half of the bench and the two feet well-balanced on the floor. This will create a tripod effect, 1, 2 and 3 which stabilizes the body so that when we play very low we’re still in balance in the middle and also at the very high range. So that, we will not easily fall off the chair when we are doing this, so we keep ourselves a waste balance.
Then for the hand positions, well there is no one fixed hand position. But the point is to create a beautiful sound so that our hands can always transmit all the energy we want to the keys. So, normally as a beginner it’s a good idea to start with curve fingers like this. This is a very relaxed and normal hand position because considering when we are normally at the state of rest our hands generally stay like this or consider a babies hand they are like this all the time. So, we just turn it back and put it on the piano and this is generally the beginner’s position. Then as we play, it is important that we keep our fingers on the key and when we depress, we just hold the keys, press it from the key surface.
