The truth is there is a difference, and the difference is Easton. You can visit their website at EastonSoftball.com. Now today I'm bringing you another episode was former Olympian Caitlin Lowe. She was a great gather work with, I enjoyed meeting here amentially. Now as I told to you last week on the show she is touring the country with Cat Osterman and Kelly Kretschman, conducting the triple treat softball camp. And their first camp was up in the Kinney Texas a couple weeks ago. So, I went to her camp spend most of it, where I guess I did most I spent the entire day they are firming. Now one the things that I firmed were Caitlin teaching the players how to do this sneaky bunt. That's what she calls this sneaky bunt, so this week lets find out how you do the sneaky bunt by Caitlin Lowe.
Caitlin Lowe: So, my sneaky bunt what's the prefect, right in the name. We wanted to be able to be sneaky and get on the day, okay so we don't want to some of you and stand in very front of the box, one of that think we're going to do. But all there right, that's the number one team has do that get appear one of the defensive as soon as going first. Okay, your game is out, won't be able to get on there. We start in the same position that is in your hitting and if you're sacrifice. Now the only thing that going to change is the direction that is fielders. The direction kind a fielder facing . So, sacrifice like I said point out picture even start to wind at your square around right. If not matter if I know you are sacrificing no okay. All we want to get the ball down. This is sneaky running a good roll is one set future gets right through about release point and that's when we're going to start by 0:02:29.
Same mechanic to play, we're just doing them past. Now I said taking the time going around getting ready we're all set to go, when staring from, hitting position and all that's happening in beginning attack. Now we don't want my hitter pointing. When they point, if my space now watch now I got my bat what position I'm in, running position right. So, I'm ready to go I fill in that person down. From standing I'm here, running the ball like lot of people do from on non-alcoholic position am I ready to run, no right. Lot of people brought like this, am I ready to run like that, no not at all, if you want to make sure get running position getting in to.
Okay, now with the sneaky bunt middle of the field is also good place now. But it's also good chance to read people, if that could be - sitting on you're goals because you set to good power hitter. You can read that obviously. If you see here, you see the big, big, big, big, big hat and he felled up drives it down line and you see here and she was like this. You care right, at the perfect situation but it's a 0:03:42 she is not ready to go. Alright, so we're getting right and middle of the ball, regarding up sneak pointed out now. The most important thing is that we're going fast we can't let the leader back here. We need make sure we're still getting that back or in front of the ball. Okay, now just like when he do, what he seeking? What happens when you move to faster what will you move again its right. If you want to make sure everything think the same we're not dropping our back head. We are not dropping our shoulder and head are dropping we are making sure on everything. And I want to see everybody in that good athletic knees bend in front position.
Okay, I'm good. Alright now with this when we squid up were on bunting in different parts in field. You know when it's going to bunting but I want to know bigger hit every time, I will bunt few things. We'll take each on this and rotate through perfect. They should not be sitting still waiting for the ball to get on the bunt 0:04:46 I want to see bunt and my momentum to take the forward. There we go.
Wait, wait, wait. Timeout, we bunt the ball we've got and then take these steps so we gone just wicket. No so next time you make an adjustment to where I start and I still stated on start. Because of I start bunt start begin. Its going to be little bit score. Not all the way understating let your momentum take. Good, that time you go. Good there we go, no holding. In that I'm getting smoother no more. Good here we go. That's the first sneaky bunt of July. Alright, yeah its okay, 0:05:55 you still getting into that same position softening the ball, so if you getting that late and hitting it hard and go little bit later. Let you bat, when you got active 0:06:13 sneaky bunt there. Now you're going to sprint and we have to play to the question. Get into that.
Gary Leland: Well, that's how you do this sneaky bunt I want to thank Caitlin for taking her time. The show was that and learning the filament and brings it to you.
