How to Solve a Rubik's cube?
I just adjust with them again. Now for those who basically needs two algorithms to shift around the corners and the edges. So with this all facing up, it's easy if you line up all the colors. This goes up there, that goes over there, that goes down there. Well, two or three, the difference between two and three, it's very small because it's basically the same thing. I will explain this one later.
So now this is the one where the B2 comes in. So this goes up there, that goes over there, that goes down there. If it's reverse of that, like if, this is goes to go over there and that goes down that kind of stuff, just put these two edges right there up in the corner and do what I am going to about to show you. So to get right there: we have R2, B2, Right, Front, R', B2, Right, F', Right and that should solve like that.
Now for this one. The corners, that goes there, that goes there, that goes down there. Basically for this one, it's the same thing either way. But you want to start off with the R2. Now you want to bring that piece whatever is on this side, you want that piece over here. So it's R2, in this case you want U and I guess to use the E too I don't really know that anymore. So do F and it looks like B but this is actually B' so bring those two down. R2 and do the reverse and bend these two backup, so backup there.
F', D, U, R2, so I did it. Now, you may get different cases, for instance, this one. Many different cases a combination of those two where you have the weird little shifting around the pieces, stuff like that. You also have the edge, the corner shifters. Now for that you want to do both of those. You want to first, what goes right here, so that goes right there. So it's basically the same thing. R2, U', F, B', R2, F', B, U', R2.
So that get in the corners and now it's just that, that edge type of thing, but wait it's not that same thing as it was before. So and this one more that does not go up there. So we want to put that corner back there and do R2, B2, Right, Front, R', B2, R, F', R. Now I didn't do anything quite yet. But it always go different place.
Now this goes over here, this goes across here. I guess this is a fourth downward and this one is really easy because it's also kind of fun to do. Just switching these two edges.
Now this is more advance notation. It's not that important you learn it. Just watch the hand, so you can do. So that's r2, that's the lower case r in the standard notation. I am going to bring this backup like that. U, R2, U2, r2, R2, U, r2, R2. I hope you've learned it. I did it. I do it really quickly.
So that's with it. So we have R2, U, Front, B', R2, F', B, U, R2. Now switch to R2, B2, Right, Front, R', B2, Right, F'. Right another switcher and so that's all, that's there. So beyond that you should have solved with you, basically followed all the step. If you mess up, if your cube is completely scrambled, just start over from the beginning and do the cross and stuff, because that's just the way it goes sometimes, but once you start memorizing them, and getting really good at it. So this is a quick thing. See how fast using just the algorithms I showed you. See how fast I can solve.
Now using just the algorithms I showed I am going to see how fast I can solve the cube, using the algorithm I showed you. So right across, I am filling the corners now. Okay, I am done and I got lucky because there’s another -- they already get placed. Now there was no F, U, R here. So I can just skip all that stuff, and so I am going to do R2, B2, and there is bunch in there popping up. Okay, so now I have the double one. R2, B2 first and edge switcher and that's it. So using this algorithm I showed you. About 52 seconds. Okay, yeah, that's it.
The slides that I mentioned before that I showed you at the end, there should be a little description on the side. Yeah -- I hope your cube is solved and best of luck with speed cubing if you choose to pursue it.
