Hello. Welcome to Chinese Learn Chinese lessons. My name is Lang and today, I would like to teach you one sentence in Chinese and that is “I want to pay.” So this is the sentence. In terms of if you want to pay for your meal or pay for your friends in the restaurant, so I want to pay in Chinese wo yao mai dan.
So this has been a request on YouTube and I recommend everybody to send me a request on YouTube for the words if you want to speak in Chinese. So wo yao mai dan. Let’s have a look at the writing, the reading the pronunciation of this sentence.
Wo yao mai dan. So the first character wo means I and the second character yao means want. The third character mai means buy and the fourth character dan means bill. So wo yao mai dan, I want buy bill. Or in English, I want to pay for the bill. That’s fantastic.

Okay so let’s have a look at the first character which is wo. As you see there, it’s more likely a left and right structured character. So let’s have a look at the demonstration of the writing of this character.

The third character is mai which means buy or pay. So mai is more likely an up and down structured character and you can see that from our demonstration.
