How to Specify Alternate Fonts in Dreamweaver CS3

It’s always a good idea to specify an alternate font in your Dreamwever web pages. You want to do this because if you’ve chosen a font and for some reasons some one is using a browser that doesn’t show that font then you can specify what type of font you would like that browser to use when that person has a view on your website.

So to do that go ahead and select and type the portion of the text that you want to change the alternate font to or if you want to do it quickly you can select the whole page and then that way you can select a font family for all of that text and alternate font.

So go ahead it on your properties paint then you just simply come down and from your font dropped down you can select the type of font you want to be used if your chosen font doesn’t show up. And go ahead and select that and that’s going to become the default when someone has a view in your website and doesn’t have that font and installed or the browser as it’s recognized in the font.

Then it will choose a font that’s similar in size and style so they can still get the full experience of your website.
