Now, that you have logged on to task stream and started your own account. You will next need to add a presentation portfolio and an evaluation portfolio. First logged on to task stream with your username and password, you'll see a variety of links under the big task stream logo running vertically on the left side of your screen. First we’re going to add our presentation portfolio in order to do that click on Web Folio Builder. Since we are starting a presentation portfolio you will look to the second light purple bar that says presentation portfolios and you have an opportunity to create the title for your web folio. Inside that box, type your name. You can use the middle initial or your full middle name if you like to do that.
After you’ve typed in your name you're going to put apostrophe S that unless your last name ends in S then you may choose just to add the apostrophe and then type in presentation portfolio. Remember that every filename and name that you give a portfolio will be visible to your evaluators here in the EKU system and to principles and SPDM interview committees. So unlike Facebook where you’re not worried about capitalization it is important to use title caps when appropriate inside your portfolio. As soon as you’ve checked your spelling, hit create.
In the next screen offers different templates for you to choose your portfolio. All students at EKU will have a common template for their presentation portfolio. You will bevel in next to 2008-2009 presentation portfolios, September ’08 and find the orange beveled button entitled next step and click. You can see that task stream offers the variety of different themes for your presentation portfolio. You can choose horizontal navigation, tabbed navigation, like file folders and two forms of the left hand navigation, left navigation one and two. After you choose one of those you will go down to where the theme section is and click and then it will give you variety of different color schemes to go with your navigation scheme at the top.
You can change this everyday if you wish. You're not locked into it. Choose one that you can live with for a few days and go to the beveled orange buttons and click next step. You’ll see another set of links that run vertically to the right hand of your task stream links. And this is what is inside your presentation portfolio. These are all the different folders which we’ll talk about more in depth on another video. At this point we’re going to go ahead and publish this presentation portfolio even though it’s not finished. Remember you work on this throughout your whole program. Find the beveled orange buttons again and click publish options and hit publish.
We have a choice to create a web address that needs a password and it does not need a password. You need to bevel in no password needed and click publish. This is the address where anyone can get to your presentation portfolio on the web. And as you work on and add things to your presentation portfolio the link remains the same. It will show the most updated presentation portfolio that you have. In another video we are using this address to link to your default page on the EKU server. The template that we provided for your presentation portfolio has to have added to it two files and sub web links. So we’re going to do that in the next video.
