I do have a top five tips for making a website, however, it is submitted by Luis King from www.luisking.net. He said hey Chris I am Louis, I am 14 from Pitchford, Startford near London, UK. I have never been there. I have a website for about three to four year now. Wait a minute we have a website since you are ten? I created my top five tips for creating a website of your own. Number one does not go for the cheapest hosting.
This may look great at first but from what I find out, they are not. The support is often bad and the servers are often cheap and slow and you do not even get what you pay for. Try to look for respectable one with many reviews and if you are curious is to what I use I am on www.webair.com, I have been with them for several years ups and downs and they are great. If you want a recommendation I will be happy to give that recommendation.
In fact, I maybe able to work out a special deal for you if you let me know if you are looking for a new web host just email me at chris@pirillo.com. I will let you know, I will make the connection for you.
Number two learn how to code and design the worst way to start a website is with no coding experience or designed experience. This is often the thoughts of new website owners in it puts you the result. You need to take a time out of your life to code and design properly.
You will get much more of the site that way, it is true but do not feel you have to become an expert in it. There are plenty of programs out there they can help you build website in fact some web host will help you set-up what you want to create for you and you know certainly a good foundation and understanding. HTML, is really all you need and then the rest of it, well, your web host may offer some video tutorial and maybe some good tutorials for you to find on YouTube as well in terms of the basics of having your own website.
So, this is just kind a starting point for tips. Number three do not swarm your site with adverts. Often to many ads put off user and they would not come back. If you must put at most three adverts on the page that is the maximum. I am pretty sure you hate website with a loads of adverts think of your users. Well, and I know some people run add blockers like I do not believe in add blockers I do not believe the use is very ethical but I think as long as untasteful and contextually.
I think advertisements are just fine, when advertisement gets annoying thats when I think they kind you know step over the line. I got you know support from YouTube with the way that I am integrating partners inside of my videos but I try to make them in just their logos that float beneath my dogs head and I have the chat over here. So, it is fine balance you know it is not overwhelming but it is there, that is branding for you.
Number four get a good domain name. Often free domain names like .tk.us.tt et cetera are bad. Full of friends with adverts with them and they are often having problems. I recommend getting one from a respectable reseller like GoDaddy.com there are many coupons around for godaddy in fact, you can type in Chris for GoDaddy or Chris one, Chris two or Chris three and you can get a discount on your next godaddy purchase they are one of partner sponsors that you will see there logo floating through.
Or if you want you can go to in the chat room at live.pirillo.com, if you type in exclamation mark coupon it will return the list of the GoDaddy coupons link that we have. Number five, finally, give your users a way to contact you, this could be in the way of a contact form, an email link as long as you have secured that email link and we have done another video on how to keep spammers from catching your email address or anything else.
Your users may need your help and without a good clear link to contact they would not know how to email you and you might loss there business. Many users are not going to bother looking through data base or verifying your website for an address.
