How to Store Medication
Macy: All right, Clean House fans, here’s an organizing tip from the Yard Sale,
Diva, Trish Suhr. Trish—
Trish: Yes.
Macy: When it comes to storing medication in the house, what do we need to
know about that?
Trish: That’s a great question Macy. Well, the most important thing is to check
your expiration dates. Make sure you get the once out that are no longer
something you want to be using. Separate your over-the-counter from your
prescriptions. And keep your prescriptions that you’re currently using
away from the ones that you kind of having your rotating in and out.
Also, make sure they are stored in a cool, dry place. And you want to
make sure they are out of the reach of children and animals. And I like to
make sure the ones that I use on a daily basis are accessible to just me
maybe possibly a container that marked Monday through Friday, all the
way through, your seven-day pill containers so that you have them ready
to go. What’s most important is that you know the life of your medicines
not anyone else.
Macy: I’ve got to go get my medicines together.
Trish: Oh!
