Before we do our warm up today, I am going to show you six great stretching exercises that soccer players use before a match.
First, we are going to stretch our feet. We are going to kneel down and your toes are pointing in front of you. And, by pushing your hips back and down, you are stretching your feet right here.
[Demonstration]
Now, I am going to show you how to stretch your calves. So, you get in this position and then just bring your heels on the ground switching your legs.
[Demonstration]
This next stretching exercise is for the back of your legs and for your hamstrings. So, you just bring your foot in next to your thigh and then grab your other foot and hold for 30 seconds.
[Demonstration]
And then, just repeat the same thing on the other leg.
[Demonstration]
Now, I am going to show you how you can stretch your inner thighs. You step out with one leg in front of you and then stretch the back leg by keeping it straight and having your foot at the 60-degree angle. Get a hold for 30 seconds and then just switch your legs.
[Demonstration]
Now, I am opening up my hips and stretching my glutes and really feel it here. For more intensity, you can put the front leg in a 90-degree angle like this, which I cannot do for advance and you hold for 30 seconds and then just switch your legs.
[Demonstration]
After the stretching, we can move on to warm up. So, check back for the next soccer video only on BodyRock.tv.
