With this beading lesson, I am going to show you how to string seed beads. You need a big eye needle with a bent tip. You just give the seed bead spinning tool a twist and place the needle in, and you can see the beads literally jump on to the needle. So I will just keep spinning until the beads are filling the needle and then just move them on to my thread.
Now what is great about the seed bead spinning tool is you can also use multiple colors. So I can put a bunch of different colors into the bowl, spin them on to the needle and get a really nice, natural, variegated look. You can also fill each small spinning tool with different colors, with the single color and then make those colors together in a pattern. So I can make one inch of blue, one inch of orange and one inch of red. To do that, I will just make a mark on my needle where the beads fill up to create that pattern.
Again, with this tool, just spin it as you are loading the beads on to the needle and once the beads reach my mark on the needle, then I would remove it, move them down on to the thread and then move to the next color. Now we give that a spin and load my beads on to the thread, to my mark on the needle and move them down.
So it is a very easy way to string seed beads and you do want to make sure that you are using beading thread and large, whole seed beads. That is going to be your best bet to make the seed bead stringing quick and easy. And that is today’s beading lesson.
