You can surf the web with your Blackberry. Most of the time you open the browser by clicking the globe icon on the home screen. If the web browser icon is not on your home screen, press the Menu button and locate the globe icon on your application screen.
The resulting browser screen will take you to the homepage of your provider for example, the AT&T homepage or the Sprint homepage. Press the Menu key and choose Go to.
Type a web address in the screen that appears. Press the trackball. Information displays at the bottom of the screen telling you the progress of your request. When the page is ready, it appears. If you see a phone number or an email address on a webpage, you can scroll to that information to highlight it.
When the information is highlighted, pressing the trackball initiates a phone call or opens a new email message depending on the type of link. The browser menu has useful shortcuts if you need them. You can find the browser menu by pressing the Menu key.
For example, the following shortcut options are on this menu. Find helps you find text on the current page. Like any other basic Find tool, when you choose this option, you have to type the text you want to look for.
Home is the shortcut to your homepage. Go to lets you open a webpage by typing the address and pressing the trackball. When you enter more addresses, other from before are listed so you don’t have to type them again.
To bookmark a page you want to return to, press the Menu key and choose Add Bookmark. Type a name for the bookmark and then from the Bookmark dialog box, choose the folder where you want to save the bookmark.
The default folder is Blackberry bookmarks. Press the trackball to change the folder where you want to save this bookmark or to add the bookmark to the Blackberry bookmarks folder.
To access your saved bookmarks, press the Menu button. Scroll to Bookmarks and press the trackball. All your bookmarked pages are on the bookmark screen. Just highlight the bookmark and press the trackball to open that page.
