That's stupid - 1) If you smashed it, the broken glass would rush towards you at high speed, and 2) it wouldn't dissapear - there'd be jagged bits stick in the window ready to slice you up as you tried to fit through the window..

Pretty neat, but I have a question: How are you supposed to crack the window when all that water pressure is pressing down on it in the opposite direction....wouldn' t it be almost impossible to have enough force to break that window when the car is submerged?

What if your window has tint on it? Windows don't shatter with tint on them.

Actually, it is a pretty good idea to carry a couple of these window escape hammer things around. or take a spark plug and saw the metal end terminal off that the wire connects to so all there is is white ceramic, mount this on a handle, it WILL smash a window
