How to Sync Your iPhone With Two iTunes Libraries
Hey guys, iPod touch2gGeec here and this video is going to show you how you can sync your iPhone or iPod touch to a two different iTunes libraries. So say I want to listen to my music that’s on this computer right now that I’m working on which it currently is. Let me just show you. All right that’s my music that is currently on this computer that I’m working on now. And say I want to also get my music from my iTunes library that’s all on my other computer. Now of course, we know Apple doesn’t allow you to do that. So let me show you this really cool application that will allow you to do it.
It’s a really cool application available in Cydia called SwitchTunes right here. It’s a little iPod logo on the iPhone. It’s a little arrow around it. So let me just show you how to get it you are going to want to open up Cydia which of course means your iPhone or iPod touch only to be Jailbroken. And then once Cydia is open you just going to manage. You’re going to need to add a source for this. Going to sources select edit up here and then add over here. You’re going to want to add the source Rupert GeeiCydia. All right the sources red, wolf, berry.com/rupertGee/Cydia/ all right I put down the link of the video description to your right in case you don’t catch that.
So once you’ve had that installed, go into search and you’re going to search for a package called switch tunes so you can just search for switch. Scroll all the way down to the bottom and you should see switch tunes right there. I want you to go ahead and open switch tunes select modified up here and then confirmed. And once you do that, you can go back to your home screen and you should now see an icon that looks like this alright that is switch tunes.
Now let me just show you so just for you all know unbeliever out there. All right this is all my music and then let me open up switch tunes and you’ll see it’s a switching tool to alternate. Okay that means it’s switching to alternate iTunes library. So let me go ahead and open this now. There as you can see it says no music that’s because of course I haven’t sync it with any other iTunes library. So, because of that I don’t have any media or anything in it.
And now you all see a badge up here with capital X that means that you currently using the alternate iTunes library. Now if you want to add music to the alternate iTunes library just go to the other iTunes library or the other computer or whatever go ahead and hook it up with the alternate iTunes library open so make sure you have this badge up here when you’re doing it. Plug it up in to iTunes and then you want to completely sync it all or add whatever you want into it. Then once you do that—once it finishes I should say, you’re done. You should now have music in here.
Now if you want to get back to the original one just open up, switch tunes one more time and it will still say switching to alternate that’s because its now switching to the other iTunes library or the original one. So, now you’ll see the badges gone which means were now on the original one, let me open up my music and there you go all my music right back there 600 songs. All right guys, thank you for watching. If you like this video and if it helps you at all please remember to rate, comment, and of course subscribe. See you guys later.
