In this four light set up, first I cut the hair light and see how it is covering and sending its light just to cut and separate the subject from the background. Now I turn on the light for the background.
The light for the background is now balance to the exact same amount , I will be using on the front of the subject, it is now F16 for the background and it will be F16 on the subject as we have seen in the metering session. So now you see only the back that is lit. It is important in the high key that the back is lit, even lit, this is why you will aim the power into the center and they are giving the F16 all even background.
Now the main light is on, it is set at F16 metered on the face of the subject. F16 mean the same as the background. So when I will shoot, it will be even lighting, even in the high key. This is done to prevent for example, if a little air is loose here, it will not be eaten by the background because it just lit evenly. It may not be that even by the look now on the modeling lamps but it will be even at the moment of shooting. The main light is a refabox, it is a huge 60-inch umbrella that I love to work with especially for fashion shoot, it gives that Christmas and these nice volumes, textures, and shadows that we will use for this lingerie shoot.
There is one pick for the black and pick for the gray and two pick for the white that are not touching the wall. So it is exactly the signature of the color balance capture. Now let us do a white balance for its perfect image every time.
