All right, so say you’ve got two sprinklers that run on a line, and you need to branch of to get a third sprinkler on a different line or on the same line but on a different path so not on the same straight ahead. What you’re going to need is a T to be able to get that sprinkler in their proper positions.
So, say these are two end sprinklers and you want to add a third sprinkler out here, what you need to do is you basically cut the pipe, like I’ve got here. All right so say you’ve got two sprinklers on your design on one continuous line and then you need to get a third sprinkler say out here, what you’re going to do is you’re going to basically T-off that line to get the third sprinkler in. So, what we’re going to do is you’re going to cut that in there, and then I’m going to show you how to insert a T into your system. Some 50601-T turn seal fitting, so that you can get to the third sprinkler. So, we’ll just go ahead and show you how to do that.
All right, so here’s your T that you’re going to use to connect the two sprinklers that we already had, you’re going to use the two ends, and then we’re going to go out to the third sprinkler with this side here so what we’re going to do, one sprinkler you’re going to take the black end here, slide it over and then you’re going to turn this end into the pipe, and then you’re just going to slide back that black end and then just hand tighten it together and then you’re snug there. So you’re set there and then we’re going to add the next sprinkler, going to do the same thing, just take this black end off of the one end of the fitting, and then with the other sprinkler line, you’re going to force that onto the fitting. So, you have those together, but what you want to make sure to do before you make those together is slide the black end on, there we go, got her figured, very good.
So, then now that the black ends on you’ll do that again, slide that snug there and then you’ll slide black end back on, just hand tighten it on there again and you’re good to go, and then we’re going to add the third sprinkler into the line, so what I’m going to do is I’m just going to cut some pipe just using the pipe cutting knife here, we’re just going to easily cut off a piece of pipe there in our third sprinkler set up. We’re just going to add some Teflon tape to the nipple, give it a good wrap there, so it doesn’t leak, do both sides. Here we go, and then we’re just going to screw in the nipple into the fitting, and then we’re going to add our sprinkler onto the nipple, make sure that’s nice and snug there and then, we’re going to add our piece of pipe.
So again just slide it on, the cap from the turn seal in there, slide your pipe onto the fitting, and then tighten that guy up, just make sure it’s hand tight. Don’t need to take in your wrenches or anything to that, and then we’re going to add this third sprinkler to our other lines that we already had set up.
So, I’m just going to screw off this end here. Slide that onto our third sprinkler, now what we’re going to do, is just put that third sprinkler onto the 50601-T , so it’s good like that , slide it back, hand tight, we’ve got three sprinklers put together, so that’s how you put three sprinklers together, when you need to T off one of the lines.
